JOB TITLE: Part Qualified Accountant
LOCATION: Runcorn, Cheshire
SALARY: To be confirmed
DURATION: Temp – approx 12 months

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
This position is temporary, for approximately 12 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confirmation of inter-company balances as part of the month end processes
Prepare specific balance sheet reconciliations after the month end process, including investigating and resolving any differences between the nominal ledger and the underlying supporting documentation.
Maintenance of the exchange rate tables with the main accounting systems, BPCS, SAP R2, XM4 and Avantis.
Revaluations of debtors and creditors to month end exchange rates at month end.
Preparation of the VAT return, including European Sales Listing and Intrastat.
Assisting in the preparation of data to be sent to external tax advisors for the purposes of the corporation tax returns Assisting in the preparation of the PAYE Settlement Agreement returns for submission to HM Revenue & Customs.
Preparation and maintenance of the fixed asset register. This includes calculation of depreciation and amortisation and posting to the nominal ledger.
Analysis of the fuel card for the purposes of entry into the nominal ledger.
Accounting system maintenance, including correction of journals posted in error, period master updates.
Ad-hoc tasks to assist the general running of the accounting department.
